【摘要】:Theprocedureisusedtoevaluatepersonalcleansingproductscontainingantibacterialingredientsthatareintendedtoreducethenumberoforganismsonintactskin.Italsomaybeusedtodemonstratetheeffectofresidualantibacterialactivitybymeansofinhibitionoftheproliferationofbacteriaontheskinaftercontact.1.1Thisguideisdesignedtodemonstratetheeffectivenessofanantibacterialpersonalcleansingproductinreducingthenumbersofamarkerorganism(representingtransients)bothimmediatelyandafterprolongedexposureto(cleansing)washingwhenusedasrecommendedundersimulateduseconditions.Themethoddemonstratestheeffectofresidualantibacterialactivitybymeansofinhibitionofproliferationofbacteriaontheskinafterthecontactperiod.Antimicrobialactivityiscomparedwithavehicleortoabaselineorganismcount.1.2Aknowledgeofmicrobiologicaltechniquesisrequiredfortheseprocedures.1.3Performanceofthisprocedurerequirestheknowledgeofregulationspertainingtotheprotectionofhumansubjects(21CFRParts50and56).1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
