【摘要】:ThispartofBS1088specifiesrequirementsformarineplywoodforuseinthemanufactureofmarinecraftandinothermarineandwaterwayapplications.Italsoappliestomarineplywoodthathasbeenselectedforuseinbuildingconstruction,inextremeclimatesandinsuchapplicationsasvehiclebodiesandgeneralbuildingworkwhereahighstandardofdurabilityisrequiredorwherethecostofreplacementintheeventoffailuremightbehigh.Thisstandarddoesnotincludestrengthdata,whichcanbeusedtoderivecharacteristicvaluesorgradestressesforuseinengineeringdesign.NOTE1Wheremarineplywoodistobeusedinconstruction,attentionisdrawntotherequirementsoftheConstructionProductsDirective.CompliancewiththeserequirementscanbeverifiedthroughdemonstratingcompliancewithBSEN13986.NOTE2Wheremarineplywoodistobeusedforload-bearingapplicationsinbuildingconstruction,itisnecessarytosubstantiatethedesignordesigncalculations.BS5268-2andDDENV1995-1-1(Eurocode5)providesuitablemethodsforachievingthis.
